FAQ's for Designer's Bootcamp
As the questions come in, we will be throwing them all up here for you! Keep them coming!
About the week:
Originally called a 'retreat', we changed it to 'bootcamp' as we have SO much content to get through! An absolute jam packed week with 8-14 others, filled with laughs, fun, lots of hard work, insanely cool projects, high energy, positivity and hugs! Plus beaches, palm trees, turtles, koalas and all the other things you'll find on a tropical island in Far North Queensland!
Dates and times to book:
Check in is 1pm and out is 10am, both Saturdays. You're welcome to stay a few extra days on the island somewhere else; for example my A-frame and studio Airbnb links can be found on Insta @maggieaframe bio if you're keen too! Or book a second week at Jungle Club doing a Creative Residency (where you work and sleep at Jungle Cub) for $500, cheapest private room on the island.
Getting there:
Getting to the island is very easy, simply fly to Townsville, Australia (TSV), 10 min taxi/shuttle to the Sealink ferry (not Magnetic Island Ferries which is for vehicles), a 20 minute ferry ride where you buy your ticket on arrival (no booking required) and a bus meets each ferry to take your straight to your accommodation (make sure you have cash!!). We kick off at 1pm sharp so please find flights accordingly, arriving a day early if need be. We recommend looking at ferry times before booking your flight, as the last one is around 9.30pm.

Deposits:
To secure your spot, simply put a 25% deposit down, or pay the whole thing up front and save $100. Winning! You'll need to pay the whole amount 21 days before.
If you cancel 42 days or more before you will get a full refund. 42-22 days before you will get a 50% refund. 21 days or less and no refund as its too late to fill your spot and we want to make sure the 8–14 people who really need to come can come.
If you are struggling financially, really need the bootcamp and would like to discuss payment plans we can do that too.
What kind of results should I expect?
This is life changing magic! As with everything, the more you put in, the more you get out. We can completely transform your whole career with you. We will find what makes you special as a designer and build your entire career, personal brand and portfolio around that to help you succeed being yourself. Plus its really fun!

It's kind of expensive! Can you break it down?

56 hours of specialized design coaching. 56 x $250 = $14,000

Accommodation:
Many of the spaces are queen and king beds, so you can have your own space and pay $2000 for the whole course, or bring a mate to share with, and pay $1500 each for the whole course. Your mate will need to apply too – but let us know you're together so we can assess the application together.
The rooms will be done first in best dressed. So once you've booked, you will get a choice of which accommodation you would like to pick.
The two accommodation locations are Nelly Bay (3 – 6 people) where the ferry comes in and the supermarket is, or Horseshoe Bay where the classes are (5 – 8 people). There is only one road on the island and they are only ten minutes apart so it's very relaxed! Both have cafes and restaurants, and a beautiful beach.

Jungle Club rust double room – a rust themed private room, brand new aircon, swimming pool, shared bathroom (2 between 3 guests). Coffee onsite!
